For the attention of Stirling Court Residents:
Works to the car park at Stirling Court are due to commence on Monday 1st February 2016 and will last 4 weeks. During this time works will phased, as follows, for your convenience and safety, to maintain a number of spaces for residents/visitors to use and to ensure safe access to the block at all times:
- Week 1-2 – Phase 1: Form new car park entrance and undertake work to left hand side of car park. Right hand spaces to be maintained for use.
- Week 3 – Phase 2: Open left hand side of car park for use and complete works to right hand spaces. Undertake soft landscaping works.
- Week 4 – Phase 3: Full access to car park available to residents whilst works to footpaths are completed.
At all times the works will be fenced off for your safety and clearly marked pedestrian routes put in place for your use. Please take note of the safety signage in place.

Welcome to the Queens Park Redevelopment Blog. As we prepare to commence work on Phase 2 of the development the launch of this blog provides an important resource for the local community to keep up to date with what’s happening on the estate. We will post regular updates to this blog on project progress, answer any frequently asked questions and let you know what we’re up to in the wider community.
The first 92 homes are now complete and residents have moved in and you may have noticed over the last few weeks our team have been busy preparing for works to commence on Phase 2. We are preparing to fully hoarded the site and Laycock Gate will be closed to ensure the safety of the local community. Clearly marked pedestrian routes will be in place and we ask that you make use of these should you need to walk near the site. Businesses and residents located on Laycock Gate, but outside the site, will still be able to gain access via Devonshire Road.
Although much of the early work is not visible our team are already busy disconnecting services, stripping out the inside of the maisonettes and tower blocks in preparation for the buildings’ demolition in early summer.
Your main contact on site will be Peter Lewis, Lovell Project Manager. He will be based at our site office on Laycock Gate during work hours (8am-5pm, Monday to Friday).
As the main contractor, Lovell will be working with specialist demolition contractor Forshaw during the demolition of the three tower blocks and maisonettes. Those resident’s directly impacted by the demolition works and who live closest to the tower block and maisonettes will be contacted directly by the Lovell and Forshaw team.
